Numerical Method (CSC 212) is a core Third Semester subject in Tribhuvan University’s BSc CSIT program (current / new course code). It covers techniques for nonlinear equations, interpolation and regression, numerical differentiation and integration, linear systems, ODEs, and PDEs—with programming labs in C or MATLAB.
On this page you’ll find the official CSC 212 syllabus and Numerical Method handwritten notes.
Note: Older batches may still see CSC 207 on past papers; the syllabus content is largely the same. CSC 212 is the current code under the revised grading system.
What you’ll learn
- Errors, root-finding, and convergence of nonlinear solvers
- Interpolation, splines, and least-squares regression
- Numerical differentiation and quadrature rules
- Gaussian elimination, iterative linear solvers, and eigenvalues
- ODE/PDE numerical methods for modeling
