Understand the NEB Grading System
Class 11 and Class 12 use the same 4.0 GPA scale. You need minimum GPA 1.6 (Grade D) in each subject and overall GPA 2.0 to pass the board exam.
- Below 35% in theory = NG - supplementary exam required
- Practical/internal marks are submitted by your school to NEB
- Class 12 result is what universities use for bachelor admission

What comes after NEB Class 12?
Your board result opens bachelor programs, but competitive seats require entrance exams. Start preparation 3-6 months before the test - longer for IOE and CEE.
Science students typically target IOE (engineering) or CEE (medical). Management and Humanities students often take CMAT for BBA. Many students keep a backup option while preparing for their first choice.
