What is SEE?

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is the final board exam of secondary-level education (Class 10) in Nepal. It is conducted by the National Examinations Board (NEB), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. SEE replaced the old SLC (School Leaving Certificate) exam. Every year more than 4 lakh students from all 7 provinces appear in this exam.

The exam is held in Chaitra (March–April) and results are published in Ashad (June–July). Students must obtain a minimum overall GPA of 2.0. Subjects include Compulsory English, Compulsory Mathematics, Compulsory Science, Compulsory Social Studies, Compulsory Nepali, and optional subjects like Optional Mathematics, Computer Science, and Health & Physical Education.

Grades range from A+ (4.0 GP) for 90–100% down to D (1.6 GP) for 35–39%. Students scoring below 35% in any subject receive NG (Non-Graded) and must appear in the supplementary exam. The pass rate in SEE 2082 was 61.81%.
