Mathematics I (MTH 117) is a core First Semester subject in Tribhuvan University’s BSc CSIT program (current / new course code). It builds calculus foundations—functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, differential equations, series, vectors, and multivariable concepts—used across later CSIT quantitative courses.
On this page you’ll find the official MTH 117 syllabus, downloadable Mathematics I notes PDF, and related exam resources as we add them. Use it to plan semester study and revise for theory exams.
Note: Older batches may still see MTH 112 on past papers; the syllabus content is largely the same. MTH 117 is the current code under the revised grading system.
What you’ll learn
- Functions, limits, continuity, and differentiation
- Applications of derivatives and antiderivatives
- Ordinary differential equations and infinite series
- Vectors in the plane and space
- Partial derivatives and multiple integration
