Statistics II (STA 215) is a core Third Semester subject in Tribhuvan University’s BSc CSIT program (current / new course code). It covers sampling and estimation, hypothesis testing, non-parametric tests, multiple regression, design of experiments, and stochastic/queuing processes—with SPSS/STATA-style labs.
On this page you’ll find the official STA 215 syllabus. Downloadable notes PDFs will be added when a reliable CSIT notes set is available (CSIT Tutor currently lists syllabus and past papers only for this subject).
Note: Older batches may still see STA 210 on past papers; the syllabus content is largely the same. STA 215 is the current code under the revised grading system.
What you’ll learn
- Sampling distributions, point/interval estimation, and sample size
- Parametric hypothesis tests (means, proportions, variances, paired t)
- Non-parametric tests (run, KS, Mann–Whitney, Wilcoxon, Kruskal–Wallis, and more)
- Multiple/partial correlation and multiple linear regression
- CRD, RBD, LSD experimental designs and stochastic/queuing models
